New Revelations About President Trump's COVID-19 Response: Science Is Depressing, Don't Worry About The Virus

Science has been a difficult subject for many in grade school up through the graduate school.  The changing landscape of evidence keeps the reader on their toes.  For professionals outside of the scientific research field looking in, the view can be confusing at times.  Where does the evidence take us?  What is the absolute answer?  The public does not like uncertainty.  

Unfortunately, uncertainty is inherently built into science research.  That uncertainty causes great uneasiness in most people, especially in people who do not have the mental bandwidth to absorb or entertain scientific data.  The progress of scientific research made during the COVID-19 is almost unparalleled to any other time in history.  Technology will change as a result of the pandemic.

With that being said, still, some believe that the scientific community dropped the ball during the pandemic.  Public influencers such as former President Trump have caused a great amount of stress to the science community by creating large amounts of doubt.  Doubt that should not be present.

But, as two Washington Posts journalists write about in their new book titled "Nightmare Scenario," the public learns the great uncertainty which filled the White House during a world pandemic.  The White House staff had to deal with a clown in charge of one of the largest threats to our nation in the last few decades.

In the video below, the two journalists, Yasmeen Abutaleb and Damian Paletta are interviewed by MSNBC reporter Nicole Wallace regarding the shocking revelations about the lack of leadership which filled the Oval Office during the pandemic:

One overarching truth that is not highlighted in the news worldwide is that the White House has access to the best scientific data available on the pandemic. Unfortunately, instead of believing the world-renowned scientists whose work is supported by the government, the White House staff let President Trump give credence to the conspiracy news (fake news) propagated by Fox News Hosts.  

Simple incredible, and tremendously disappointing.

The revelation regarding the handling of the pandemic is extremely disappointing.  Although, the new ranking of 2021 of top Presidents in History has just been released.  That list has former President Trump in the bottom 5 Presidents in history -- which means -- Trump ranks among the 5 worst Presidents in history.  Is that really surprising?  Not really.
