Critical Race Theory is being developed around the country today. Racism has been present throughout the history of the United States of America. The School curriculum has left out a major portion of the story of racism for obvious reasons. The fact is that certain political figures are rising up against the challenge of the old to insert a new lesson into history. That lesson is to be inclusive.
Part of the rising up is the most common act of misquoting the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Members of the GOP have been appearing on news quoting the same part of a speech Dr. King gave without giving context. In the interview below, MSNBC news anchor Joy Reid interviews Dr. Bernice King - the daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. about the absurd quoting without context:
We the people have a long way to go. But the momentum for change is building among us which is inspiring. Keep building the momentum toward meaningful change.
