Mask mandates across various parts of the United States have caused great disruption in certain social circles.  Not only social circles but various levels of society.  People do not like to be told that they do not have a choice.

In the following interview from the Jocko Willinck YouTube Channel, Jocko Willinck discusses his views on mask mandates and wearing a mask:

Just wear a mask and get over it.

Don't Mess With Trump On Newsmax Or You Will Get Cut

Photo: The Daily Beast

During the Trump presidency, Fox News was the direct news outlet of the White House.  Since the election, Fox News has dialed back to let Newsmax spring forward to be the front runner.  The only problem is that President Trump is no longer in office.  That does not matter to Newsmax news anchor Grant Stinchfield.

In a recent video on MSNBC, the highlight of the interview conducted of a Veteran of the Iraq War is interrupted and shut down because of putting down on former President Trump:

Where have we come as a world to have news outlets that shut people down for holding counterviews?  Fox News is famous for this, and now Newsmax is following.  Grant Stinchfield appears to be very insecure when someone has a view, not in line with his own conspiracy theories.  The fact of the matter is that former President Trump did make it difficult for American troops to come home.  But don't tell that to his supporters or news outlets.

Believe in Conspiracy Theories? That might cost Your Life

Photo: CNET

Ivermectin is out of the sale at veterinarian stores across certain states.  Which is greatly concerning.  Why?  Do you believe in conspiracy theories?  Are you an anti-vaxxer?  Carry on - of course, at your own risk.

The tragedy across the nation is the growth in the sale of a 'deworming' medication used on animals (primarily).  Yes, ivermectin is primarily for animals.  In certain cases, doctors have prescribed ivermectin in humans for the treatment of parasites.  In the video below, Dr. Patel explains the dangers associated with taking ivermectin for treatment of COVID-19:

I find the death of an anti-vaxxer sad because of misinformation.  That is completely avoidable.  Think about life before denying yourself treatment.  You may end up in the hospital and further complications - such as death.

Cost Of Inaction Toward Fighting Climate Change Increases Exponentially

Photo:  NOAA

The cost of infrastructure improvement throughout our nation may have skeptics from the right and left.  But just look at Hurricane Ida.  The damage done to the power grid alone is staggering.  In one article from the Associated Press, an estimated 22,000 power poles were destroyed by Ida -- more than Hurricanes Katrina, Delta, and Zeta combined:

Ida damaged or destroyed more than 22,000 power poles, more than hurricanes Katrina, Zeta and Delta combined, an impact Entergy President and CEO Phillip May called “staggering.” More than 5,200 transformers failed and nearly 26,000 spans of wire — the stretch of transmission wires between poles — were down.

That is hard to comprehend. So the next time you are outside, look at the street -- specifically at the power poles running down the street.  Then think about the 22,000 power poles that have been destroyed by Hurricane Ida.

How long does such a job take to repair and replace all 22,000 power poles?

Not to mention all of the destroyed wire that runs along those power poles and the transformers that sit on each power pole.  Oh my goodness.

What an endeavor to manage and take on?

In a recent interview on MSNBC Morning Joe, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm from the Department of Energy was interviewed about the costs of climate change heading into the future:

The costs are increasing exponentially over the years.  From the '80s, there was a doubling every decade to the increase from $50 billion to $150 billion each year to fight the effects of each damaging storm.

Yes, the damage done in Houston last year cost us (taxpayers) around $150 billion.  That money could have gone to other needed costs. Instead of spending money to improving our infrastructure, we choose as a nation to incur large amounts of unneeded costs with each storm.  And that does not take into account the costs associated with the displacement of Americans.

The time to act is now.  Waiting will only increase the costs over time.  Which is not a good idea for our nation and the residents that are constantly adversely impacted by such storms.  Tell your elected official to vote yes on infrastructure bills that combat climate change.

"System Error" -- Time to Energize American Citizens (and more) To Demand Action In Silicon Valley

Photo: Amazon.com

Social media, along with technology on a larger scale, has failed to make changes to safeguard our world.  Look to the last two presidential elections in the United States.  In the interest of 'free speech' has overruled the regulated space of social media companies.  More is needed from companies.  And much more is needed from our lawmakers -- in Washington D.C.-- Congress.

In the interview below by MSNBC Morning Joe, Authors of the new book titled "System Error" are briefly asked about the current environment.  Additionally, the next question is logical, where are we headed if no action is taken?  Finally, what action needs to be taken?  Watch and learn:

The idea of energizing citizens to take action and call on Washington D.C. to change the regulations and laws is not new.  What is new is the lack of action.  Where are the activists?  We live in a time where the world is hyperconnected, and there is little activism.  At least on the steps of Washington D.C.  We live in a time where collective action by citizens (electronically) would send the largest message in history to Congress, yet it is hard to execute in practice.  Why?

There are many pressing issues confronting our nation and world.  Collective action has always been a platform that I support.  Of course, collective action requires collective education (information gathering).  Each of us needs to be informed.  Then a discussion/action item can be pushed forward for change.

Texas Governor Aims To Please 10% of Texas Electorate - Extreme Right!

Photo: CNBC

Everything is big in Texas.  Big hair. Big belt buckles. Big cowboy hats.  And a large - the largest number of ICU beds in the entire country being occupied by COVID-19 patients.  Have a child with a heart problem?  You may be out of luck.  The laws being passed and challenged in the state of Texas are catering to the extreme right.  Which is dangerous to the rest of the nation.  Why?

Watch the interview on MSNBC below for more detail:

Texas is in a pretty bad state of affairs.  Time to wake up Texans and take control of that chaos occurring down there in your area.

Fox News Host Gets A Constitutional Law Education On Vaccine Mandate

Photo: Yahoo

Fox News Hosts are professional misinformation spreaders.  Give them misinformation and bam -- that information will travel faster than the speed of light.  Ok, not faster than the speed of light, but pretty dam fast.  Now, add into the mix the public's mixed feelings about wearing masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  You now have a disaster on your hands.  Which is where we sit today.

Out of the blue, Harvard Law Constitutional Law Professor Alan Derschowitz offers a beautiful education to Fox News Host Laura Ingraham about mask mandates and vaccines in the video below:

Laura Ingraham cannot fathom that her opinion is not popular among Harvard Law Professors.  Wow!

The fact is that 99.5% of deaths due to COVID-19 over the last few months have been among those citizens who have chosen to NOT BE VACCINATED.

Therefore, the choice is obvious:  Get the vaccine or take a larger chance at landing in the hospital or worse!  The decision is yours!

Texas Lawmakers Want To Turn Abortion Law Back To Medieval Times

Photo: Vox

The Supreme Court has chosen not to take up a case to overturn a ban on Abortion after 6 weeks of pregnancy.  This amounts to is to pass the authority to abortion activists the power to make money by turning clinicians and enablers of abortion into authorities.  Not only to turn enablers into authorities but to make money off of the act.  Which is crazy.

In the video below by MSNBC, former solicitor general Neal Katyal is interviewed about the decision by the Supreme Court to turn the case away (i.e. back to lower courts):

Following up what Mr. Katyal stated about the ability of Congress to act and change the law surrounding abortions, the video below from MSNBC is an interview by Joy Reid with Senator Elizabeth Warren discussing such an action:

Congress should act.  As was stated in the video above, the world does seem to be headed toward the terrible situation popularized in the show 'The Handmaid's Tale.'  In which, a few in a minority conservative group take over the United States.  One in which, abortion does still occur among the rich, but is not discussed.  One in which, the people not in-line with the powerful religious group suffer and become slaves to the small wealthy class.  This is crazy.
