Stress Can Greatly Contribute To Weight Gain?

Have you been trying to lose weight by following various dieting regimes with no success?  Have you ever entertained the idea that stress may be preventing you from losing weight?  How does this actually work?

In the video below, produced by the Joe Rogan Show, a clip is shown of a lengthy interview with Dr. Peter Attai.  Who is greatly interested in the metabolic processes of the body - specifically related to weight loss.  The clip is 7 minutes long and talks about unsuccessful weight loss:

According to the video above, in short, a fat cell can lose size (which amounts to losing weight on a grand scale) by allowing more fat to leave than enters.  Dr. Peter Attai describes how fat cells have two inputs and one output.  Which is equivalent to two entrance doors and one exit door.  These doors allow fat to enter and exit - which amounts to weight gain and weight loss.  The doors are controlled by hormones.

The takeaway message from the paragraph above: The doors will not open to let fat leave if your cortisol levels are too high.  Cortisol levels closely match stress levels.  Less stress less cortisol. Think about it.
