For all of the little girls out there aspiring to be doctors and lawyers, watching the nomination hearing of Judge Ketanji Jackson in front of Congress must be very welcomed. Judge stands to be the first black woman elected to the Supreme Court -- 55 years after the first black judge - Justice Thurgood Marshall. A compelling speech was given - which is shown below by Senator Cory Booker - highlighting the importance of this particular confirmation hearing to the Supreme Court:
After this inspiring speech, news anchors and mouthpieces such as Laura Ingraham decided to mock Senator Cory Booker. But, as usual, the commentation is just noise and will be drowned out soon by other disinformation by Fox News.
The importance of this confirmation to the Supreme Court cannot be overstated. Further, diversity and inclusion have gained traction throughout society over the last few decades. Let's continue to include those who are under-represented in the community. Make the world a more inclusive and diverse world. As a result, the world will be a better place.
