Have The World Reached An End To The Putin Era?

Russian President Vladimir Putin has undoubtedly caused problems for the entire world over the last couple of decades.  Most recently, Russia's engagement in interfering with the United States Presidential Elections in 2016 was most notable.  In addition, invading Ukraine with Russian forces has pushed Putin to the top of the 'Most Annoying In The World' list.

Russian forces have moved into Kyiv believing that a celebration was happening.  Instead, the convoy was met with Molotov cocktails and bullets.  Bodies of activists would stop the convoy in protest.   These confused Russian soldiers quickly learned that they were sent for war, not for celebration.

Deceived as they were, their presence is still alarming and causing havoc on world economies and supply chains around the world.  With this in mind, one must wonder what the motivation of Russian President Vladimir Putin really is?  Where does Russia go from here?

These questions are entirely reasonable.  MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell interviewed The New Yorker's editor David Remnick on Russia to answer questions.  The video is shown below and is 8 minutes in length.  David Remnick was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1994 for his book titled "Lenin's Tomb: The Last Days of the Soviet Empire."
