Nurses Have Patients In Denial Of COVID-19 Diagnosis Up Until Intubation

Hospitals across the country (USA) are filled with patients still in denial of a COVID-19 diagnosis.  Nearly a year and a half into the pandemic, certain patients are not able to believe that symptoms of a common cold are indeed COVID-19.  Even up until the point where medical intervention is necessary to keep the patient alive.  By this, the procedure of opening up an airway with a tube to assist the patient to breathe.



How crazy is this?  


Some patients would rather believe that they are dying of cancer than of COVID-19?  


In the video below by CNN, patients are interviewed along with nurses.  From the patient's standpoint, some are disappointed that they did not get the vaccination earlier.  Whereas, from the nurse's standpoint, denial is crazy among certain patient populations - which is astounding:
