Clown, news anchor and Fox media superstar Tucker Carlson has a tremendous amount of opinion to share each night. And that opinion is wildly popular among Fox viewers. Additionally, that opinion is solidified along with another opinion (and fact) to form political views. So what is wrong with this process? Not much, except that the idea is interpreted by other politicians (Conservative and Democratic) as immensely troubling.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has gone on a speaking tour worldwide lately. Among other topics, Tucker Carlon's misinformation campaign is one of them. See for yourself in the short video below:
Tucker Carlson has always been dangerous. Now he is dangerous - spreading misinformation to people who act on it. Why do I say scary? Because when confronted about the views he lay on his show, he claims that it is an act (and that the current location - a store - is not an appropriate place to discuss misinformation). See for yourself in the video below:
Wow. It is ok to spread lies, but don't confront him on it in public. Because, according to Tucker Carlson, that is not appropriate. Meanwhile, some Americans watch his show and form political opinions each night. And some of those opinions could turn into action - like Jan 6th action. Due to misinformation.
On the discussion whether it was appropriate to approach him on vacation, I fall on the side of 'own your views all of the time.' Tucker Carlson should have to face his opponents at any time. That is the weight of spewing misinformation - and getting paid a heck of a lot of money.
