Daniel Dale: What was your 'Lie of the Night' for the Vice Presidential Debate?

Last week a more civilized debate emerged for the Vice Presidential debate between upcoming Vice Presidential candidates.  Of course, this should be no surprise given that both candidates are seasoned politicians who are experts at laying out arguments in timed sessions.  Both have served in Houses of Congress.  Senator Kamala Harris is still in a seat in the Senate.  Nonetheless, both were not immune to getting 'facts' incorrect.  How incorrect were each candidate?

To layout the debate in a short amount of time, CNN Fact Checker Daniel Dale was interviewed by a panel. The interview was regarding different statements made by each candidate.  The video below is roughly 14 minutes long and worth watching.  Especially if you are going to vote in a few weeks, which you should exercise your right to vote.  Please vote.  Without further ado, the video is shown below:

Wow!  There are lots of lies to talk about.  Actually, I will leave the content of the video mostly up to the readers (you) to decide about.  For me, I was impressed by Senator Kamala Harris's behavior during the debate.  She came off as confident and collect.  She stayed relatively calm and cool without interrupting up until the end.  As for Vice President Pence, he did not impress at all.  Vice President Pence had the terrible job of defending President Trump's policies and decisions over the last few years.

Vice President Pence is a terrible liar and has tried to spin the truth to his advantage.  Luckily for the voter sitting in the audience or viewing from their screens at home, the question remains:

How is your life today?

Are you happy with the status quo?

Are you happy with the leadership at the top?

The leadership that has failed to contain a virus.  A virus that has spread out of control not only throughout the world but through the highest office of the land -- the White House.  Why can't the leadership contain a virus in the most sterile house in the world?  The short answer is that the President and his administration choose not to believe or follow the advice of scientists and doctors who constantly have to guide the citizens of our nation (and the world) on what not to do.

Which flies in the face of opposition to the President's advice, which is to expose yourself to harm.  Choose for yourself - as if your knowledge of the virus is better than the CDC guidelines.  I know that mine is not, and I am a scientist.

Be smart.  Listen to the right people about your health.  Go vote.
